A review conducted in 2020, suggests that CBD may in fact be a promising solution for the management of stress and anxiety. However, they did state that more studies are needed.
Another study which was of particular interest, involved a total of 15 participants, in this study, CBD was shown to be potentially helpful in conditions associated with altered memory processing, one of which was post-traumatic stress disorder.
How to Shop for CBD Oil
Shopping for CBD oil can be a little overwhelming to the uninitiated, so to make things easier, look for brands that have been certified by a third party lab, such as the CRI (Cannabis Research Institute of South Africa).
When shopping for CBD oil for stress specifically, it may also be worthwhile looking into CBD oils and products containing added stress-relieving ingredients, such as adaptogens i.e. ashwagandha or lavender.
How much CBD should I take to relieve stress?
No two people are the same so finding the correct CBD dosage for stress relief is up to you. We always recommend starting low and slow. What this means is starting at the lowest dosage possible, which is around 20 mg, and then slowly working your way up if you feel it’s needed. Your doctor may also be able to help you find the right dosage for you.
